Daniel von Bargen was an American character actor known for his roles in television series and films. He was born on June 5, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Von Bargen had a prolific acting career, with appearances in movies such as "The Postman," "Super Troopers," and "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" He also had recurring roles in popular TV shows like "Seinfeld," "Malcolm in the Middle," and "Law & Order."
Unfortunately, in 2012, von Bargen suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head during a call to 911. The actor survived but had to undergo multiple surgeries and eventually had his leg amputated due to complications from the injury. He passed away on March 1, 2015, at the age of 64.
